Fire Extinguishers - AFF Foam

Foam dispensing fire extinguisher for use on ordinary combustable fires and flammable liquids. They can also be used on electrical fires although the foam may cause irrepairable damage to the equipment.
  • AFF Foam Fire Extinguisher kitemarked to BS EN 3
  • Foam or cream fire extinguishers work by smothering fires and starving them of oxygen
  • For use on:
    • Ordinary combustable fires: wood, paper, textiles, rubber, some plastics and other organic carbon based compounds
    • Flammable liquids: petrol, oil, paints etc.
    • Electrical fires: short circuits, overloaded switchboards, faulty equipment and wiring (though CO2 Fire Extinguishers are better suited as a foam fire extinguisher may cause irrepairable damage to the electrical equipment)
  • Ineffective against:
    • Flammable gases: butane, propane and petroleum gases
    • Cooking oil fires: cooking oil, grease and fats
